Not everyone could afford the fancy designer furniture back in the middle of the last century. Regular folks bought their furniture from Sears or a local furniture dealer that dealt in furniture for working people.
The finish on the legs could use some attention if you care, and likewise the formica could use some scrubbing.
The legs unscrew for easy transport. I have another one very similar to this if you check my "more ads by the is user" link.
