This is an original Kundo mechanical brass clock made in Germany in the 1950s that only needs to be wound once every 400 days, or about once a year, which is why it is called an Anniversary Clock. This model is featured by the torsion suspension, ball pendulum, brass pillars and decorative face with arabic numbers.
Clock is 12 1/2" tall including the dome and pedestal. Brass base is 7 1/2" wide. The dome is 5 1/2" in diameter.
The clock is in good working condition.
The clock was inspected, bench tested over several weeks and adjusted for accuracy (up to a minute per month).
When installing the clock in a new location, some slight additional adjustment may be needed. This may require several adjustment cycles. I will send you instructions along with your clock.
The clock suspension is equipped with a special Horolovar steel string, which compensates for temperature fluctuations, ensuring the watch runs accurately throughout the year.
Dimensions:
11½" base to top of knob
4" diameter dial face
7-3/4" width at base
Due to the antique nature of the item, there are some cosmetic imperfections.
Please review the photos as they are part of the description. I can add more photos upon request.
If you have any questions about the item, please ask before bidding.
This antique clock is fragile, especially the suspension, the face and the hands.
But being handled properly, it is a reliable and accurate instrument.
I do not provide any support other than the setup instructions I send with the clock. But you can find a number of online resources where people share details on the Kundo maintenance.
