This fine pewter spoon set is certified by The Franklin Mint on October 6,1980. The wooden display case holds the 12 spoons and has 2 slight imperfections ( 1 small knick to the frame on the bottom edge and 1 slight tear in the felt background. Each spoon depicts a character from one of Andersen’s tales as well as a scene from each tale. I did notice that 2 of the spoons have been glued at the point where the bowl meets the stem. Accompanying the collection is the Certificate of Authenticity and a brochure with 12 pamphlets with a story about each character. The cover of the brochure has some water damage.
