We own an apartment property in Syracuse and are looking to hire a full-time, on-site maintenance technician. The main part of the job is painting and getting apartments rent-ready for new tenants — prepping and painting walls, ceilings, trim and doors, patching drywall and nail holes, caulking, replacing fixtures and hardware, and finishing out the unit so it's clean and ready to show. Beyond turns, you'll handle everyday repairs and tenant work orders: basic plumbing (faucets, toilets, drains), basic electrical (outlets, switches, fixtures), appliances, doors and locks, carpentry, and troubleshooting heat and AC. There's also seasonal work — winterizing, snow and ice removal at the entries and walkways, and general grounds and common-area upkeep. We're looking for someone reliable who shows up, works clean, and can figure out a problem without being walked through it. You should have at least a couple years of hands-on maintenance experience, be able to paint an apartment to a professional finish, have your own basic hand tools, and be able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders and outdoors year-round. A driver's license is a plus and we'll pay more for it, but it's not required.
Pay is $22–$25/hour depending on what you bring, We're willing to pay above this range for the right person — if you're strong, tell us what you need. Background check required.
