Seeking ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician with Audi/VW Experience
I am seeking an experienced ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician to conduct a professional, non-destructive inspection of a 2018 Audi A6 located in the Watertown, NY area.
This inspection relates to an ongoing civil dispute concerning automotive repair/restoration work. The inspection has been authorized by the court and must be completed within a specified time period.
The technician will be asked to independently evaluate and document the vehicle’s present condition, including:
* Verification of installed/replaced components against repair invoices and estimates
* Whether represented mechanical repairs appear to have been completed
* Quality and completeness of observable repair/restoration work
* Engine, cooling, steering and related mechanical systems
* Identification of incomplete, improper, missing or additional work
* Photographs and appropriate non-destructive diagnostic testing
* General assessment of what work would reasonably be required to complete or correct the vehicle
Preferred qualifications: Current or former ASE Master Automobile Technician (A1–A8); substantial hands-on experience with Audi/VW or other modern European vehicles; strong diagnostic experience; familiarity with professional automotive repair standards and documentation.
Experience with New York State repair-shop regulations, NYS DMV repair-shop investigations, insurance/post-repair inspections, forensic automotive inspections, or expert-witness work is highly desirable but not required.
This is paid professional work. Compensation is negotiable based upon qualifications, travel and scope of inspection.
The selected technician should be comfortable documenting findings in writing and potentially providing a professional opinion or testimony concerning those findings at a later date. Prior courtroom testimony is not required.
