An experienced tutor is not simply one who has worked for over 2 decades solely as a professional tutor. Just repeating the same official lesson plans over and over turns the tutor into a repetitive bore. A great tutor builds broad experience by varying teaching styles, subject matter, and grand strategies. Experience can be built with experimentation and the humility to know that even sitting on a mountain of accumulated prizes, I can always improve.
A Stoic tutor and a Stoic family realize that the process of learning is a beautiful activity that should be valued no matter what the fates offer in results. We will courageously take learning to an obviously higher level. That should be apparent during the very first lesson.
Since the 90's, Professional Tutoring has been my only career. I have made it incredibly enjoyable for myself and my students. If families are willing to invest the effort into education, the rewards can be in many areas of life.
