For sale is my Eureka Olympus espresso grinder. This is a beast of a grinder, originally sold as a commercial or prosumer model. It has been upgraded with the Mythos 75mm Titanium burrs, both the short and tall coffee hoppers, and chrome finish. It is in excellent condition. There is not a mark or scratch anywhere on the machine. The burrs look new to me with a few slight dings that don’t affect the grind quality at all. (Check the photos.)
There are approximately 9500 grinding cycles on this machine. On a scale of Light, Moderate, Substantial to Heavy (@ over 25,000), Chat GTP rates this usage as moderate. That suggests the burrs have 60% of useful life remaining. And replacement burrs, both steel and titanium are available.
Besides being very fast, it grinds my 18g shots at 2.2 seconds, another great feature is it micrometric grind adjustment. You can easily remove the upper burr for thorough cleaning, and reassemble, with no change to your grinder setting. When changing coffees, with the infinite and very small adjustments provided, I can generally dial in within one or two shots.
I purchased the machine in December, 2018, when it had 318 shots. I have loved this machine. It’s for sale as my wife doesn’t like using it. We purchased a Eureka Speciaity that she likes to used as a single dose machine, as she finds it easier to get the exact gram dosage she wants. I can make shots at least twice as fast with this Olympus. I set the timer at 2.2 seconds for a double and hit start. It’s usually slightly short of my target grams. Another quick tap and I’m usually with in .3g’s of my target, which is close enough. We make 20 oz. lattes with three shots. 3/10’s of a gram makes no difference to me. Playing with the time you could get the dose more accurate with a single grind.
When new, this machine sold for around $1,100 and the Mythos burrs were well over $300. At $800 this is a good deal and you’d be hard pressed to find anything matching it capabilities under $1,200. You maybe of differing opinion, and I’m willing to consider reasonable offers.
I think this is a great machine and will give many years of reliable service. It’s has never given us any problems whatsoever.
Eureka Olympus Features & Specifications
The Eureka Olympus commercial espresso grinder line (most notably represented by the flagship Eureka Olympus 75 E) was built for high-volume commercial environments and demanding prosumer setups, prized for its raw power and rapid processing speeds. While primarily sold as a flat-burr high-speed electronic grinder, a conical variant (the Olympus KRE) was also engineered.
Core Design Features
Patented Stepless Micrometric Regulation: Eureka’s signature adjustment system controls the grind mechanism via the lower burr rather than the upper burr. This allows the user to open up the grinding chamber for maintenance and cleaning without changing or losing their exact grind setting.
High-Speed Dispensing: Driven by an oversized commercial motor, the Olympus delivers fluffy, static-reduced grounds at speeds averaging 4.9g to 5.9g per second, dropping a standard 20g double shot in roughly 3 seconds.
Monochromatic LCD Display: Features a simple, push-button electronic dosing interface that programs single and double timed doses down to 1/10th of a second, with an easy bypass switch for manual tap-to-grind operation.
Barista Workspace Comforts: Outfitted with an adjustable hands-free portafilter fork, a customizable exit chute to minimize static spraying, and an integrated spotlight that illuminates the basket during the grind cycle.

The Eureka Olympus 75 E was the defining flagship model of the Olympus line, most famously marketed as a "high-speed" commercial workhorse.
The original marketing literature, sales sheets, and technical guides focused explicitly on the performance metrics and unique configurations of the 75 E model:
The "High-Speed" Marketing Claims
In the original 75 E brochure, Eureka heavily emphasized two key marketing phrases to separate this model from its competitors:
"3 Seconds for a Double Shot": The brochure explicitly guaranteed a dispensing speed of roughly 4.5 to 5.5 grams per second for espresso-fine grinding. This was a massive selling point for busy cafes trying to eliminate bar bottlenecks during morning rushes.
"Cool-Grinding Tech": Because grinding 75mm flat burrs at 1400 RPM generates friction, the marketing sheets highlighted a specialized chassis airflow and a heavy-duty 800W motor designed to keep the grinding chamber cool, preventing the burrs from baking volatile oils out of the coffee beans during high-volume periods.
Specialized 75 E Technical Specifications
While the broader Olympus line included various motor and burr formats, the 75 E specifically shipped with these exact technical specs:
Burrs: 75 mm flat hardened steel burrs (upgradable to titanium or Red Speed burrs via aftermarket distributors).
Motor Power: Single-phase, 800 Watts.
Traction / Speed: Direct drive operating at 1400 RPM (50Hz) or 1680 RPM (60Hz).
Dispensing Interface: 4-button monochrome backlit LCD. It offered independent single-dose time, double-dose time, continuous manual grinding, and lockable programming to prevent baristas from accidentally altering the times.
Chute Geometry: A wide, premium aluminum spout featuring an internal wire-mesh breakdown system (the early precursor to Eureka's modern ACE system) to split static charges and drop fluffy, center-focused mounds into the portafilter.
Visual Layout & Aesthetics
According to the original sales catalog, the 75 E was offered to cafes in a distinct set of commercial finishes:
Standard Colors: Matte Black, Gloss White, and Ferrari Red.
Premium Finishes: Polished Chrome / Aluminum (which carried a price premium in the marketing sheets).
The "Tall" Hopper Look: The brochure heavily featured the iconic crystal-clear 1.6 kg (3.5 lb) hopper with a manual throat-gate, giving the machine its imposing 25-inch commercial profile.
