Position Overview Cloud Catering is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Culinary Operations & Logistics Coordinator to support the daily flow between our Culinary, Warehouse, Production, and Dispatch teams.
This role helps ensure that event packout is accurate, organized, and ready to leave the commissary on schedule. The Culinary Operations & Logistics Coordinator will support culinary packout, communicate event updates, assist with equipment staging, and help identify operational gaps before they impact an event.
This position works closely with department managers and team leads and serves as an important communication bridge across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Packout & Event Readiness
Manage and support daily culinary packout for off-premise events.
Review BEOs, production notes, and event details to confirm food, equipment, and packout requirements.
Organize prepared food onto appropriate speed racks, carts, proofers, and staging areas.
Mark completed packout items on BEOs and related production documentation.
Follow standard packout lists for Chef Kits, Sanitation Kits, Family Meal Kits, Dry Pack Kits, Equipment Kits, and other recurring event needs.
Assist kitchen departments with packing ready-to-go food items.
Cross-check production notes and flag missing, incorrect, or incomplete items before departure.
Assist with event-specific equipment packout as communicated by Lead Chefs and Production.
BEO & Kitchen Coordination
Print and organize kitchen BEOs and BEO updates.
Maintain changes on the kitchen communication board as updates are received.
Communicate relevant changes to the appropriate culinary departments.
Assist with organizing production lists for kitchen teams.
Help ensure last-minute changes are carried through production, packout, and departure.
Use Curate, Cloud Catering’s BEO and event management system, to review event information, updates, production needs, and packout details.
Become proficient in Curate and use the platform accurately and consistently as part of daily operations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as a day-to-day communication link between Culinary, Production, Warehouse, and Dispatch.
Coordinate with Dispatch regarding delivery times, truck schedules, delays, and changes that may impact kitchen flow.
Work with Production to understand event-specific needs and operational updates.
Communicate equipment and staging needs to the Warehouse team.
Help batch and prioritize event departures based on timing and production readiness.
Ensure food, equipment, and event materials are staged and ready for loading.
Flag timing conflicts, missing items, and operational gaps to the appropriate manager.
Provide additional coordination support during high-volume periods.
Warehouse & Equipment Support
Work alongside the Warehouse Manager to support culinary equipment pulls and event staging.
Assist with organizing standard equipment kits and event-specific culinary supplies.
Help receive and organize shop-drop rentals.
Support the return and organization of equipment following off-premise events.
Flag missing, damaged, misplaced, or low-stock items to the Warehouse Manager.
Assist with equipment counts and warehouse organization as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in catering operations, culinary operations, event logistics, warehouse operations, or a related hospitality environment preferred.
Off-premise catering or high-volume event experience strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand BEOs, production notes, and event documentation.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
Ability to manage multiple events and shifting priorities simultaneously.
Strong follow-through and problem-solving skills.
Must be comfortable using a computer and working within digital event management, scheduling, and operational systems.
Basic proficiency with email, shared documents, spreadsheets, and general computer-based workflows required.
Prior experience with Curate is not required, but the successful candidate will be expected to learn and master the system as a core part of the role.
Comfortable working independently while remaining closely connected to department leadership.
Comfortable working in kitchen, warehouse, refrigeration, and loading environments.
Schedule & Hours
This is a full-time position with an expected daily schedule of 5:00 AM–2:30 PM.
Because Cloud Catering operates in an event-driven environment, additional hours may be required during busy seasons, high-volume event weeks, or based on operational needs.
Reliability and punctuality are essential, as this role is directly involved in preparing and coordinating early-morning event departures.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and move throughout the kitchen and warehouse for extended periods.
Ability to push and move carts, racks, equipment, and supplies.
Ability to lift approximately 40–50 lbs. as needed.
Comfortable working in walk-in refrigerators, warehouse areas, loading areas, and commercial kitchen environments.
What Success Looks Like Success in this role means culinary packout is complete and accurate, departments remain aligned, systems and event information are kept current, equipment and materials are staged correctly, and event departures happen smoothly and on time.
