Santa Barbara | Approx. 20 hours/week | $35–$60/hour + bonus
A Santa Barbara philanthropist and founder of an innovative nonprofit exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and art is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and personable professional to become a trusted partner.
This is an interesting and varied part-time position combining executive support with philanthropy, nonprofit projects, social media, relationship management, and private events.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing calendars, appointments, communications, and follow-up
• Keeping multiple projects, relationships, and commitments organized
• Helping coordinate activities of the AI Artists Alliance
• Managing and posting social media content
• Communicating with artists, community leaders, and professional contacts
• Organizing private salons and events, including setup and coordination with caterers and vendors
• Research and special projects
• Accompanying the principal on three morning planning walks each week to discuss priorities and ongoing projects
The person we're looking for:
You are exceptionally organized, write and communicate very well, have good judgment, and are comfortable dealing with a wide range of people. You take initiative, notice what needs to be done, and follow through without requiring constant supervision.
Experience in executive assistance, project coordination, nonprofit work, events, communications, or social media is desirable. Comfort with technology and AI tools is important.
The right combination of intelligence, judgment, initiative, organizational ability, and interpersonal skills is more important than a particular career background.
This could be an especially rewarding position for someone interested in art, artificial intelligence, philanthropy, education, and community activities who wants substantive part-time work.
Location: Santa Barbara; combination of in-person and remote work
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week. Availability in Santa Barbara for three morning planning walks each week is required.
Compensation: $35–$60/hour depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus.
