American Stairs is seeking a highly efficient, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Foreman to oversee all daily warehouse operations. This critical role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, safe storage practices, and the timely movement of materials throughout our facility. The Foreman will lead shipping and receiving activities, ensure daily shipments are prepared and loaded on schedule, and coordinate the receipt of materials required for production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, staging, loading, and dispatching materials.
• Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations
• Supervise and support shipping and receiving personnel to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with production personnel, drivers, vendors, and office staff.
• Ensure shipments are accurately prepared and loaded to meet delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve processes, resolve operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.
• Carpentry, construction materials, stair manufacturing, or related construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing 75 pounds or more.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including more than two hours at a time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical warehouse duties throughout the workday.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required.
