How You'll Contribute-
As a Process Engineer, you will improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of production processes and equipment through the application of engineering principles, improve production processes to increase productivity, reduce setup times, improve overall efficiency, and reduce scrap. Partner with manufacturing departments to implement process and production improvements. Facilitate trials, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations through effective planning, documentation, and communication.
What We're Looking For-
We’re looking for an organized, hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with people as much as working with processes and equipment with 3–5 years of engineering or manufacturing experience, the ability to work different hours when needed to support plant requirements. A bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Polymers, or Industrial Engineering, preferred, but not required.
Experience in Plastics compounding and extrusion technology, electrical and mechanical systems desired, but not a requirement.
The Workplace Experience-
This is a hands-on engineering position with time spent both in the office and on the production floor. You should be comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and actively engaging with production and maintenance teams.
Essential Physical Functions-
Sit, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. Stand, walk, climb stairs. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
