Looking for a passionate and experienced motorcycle mechanic to help part-time with routine and monthly repairs for our fleet of up to 16 motorcycles used for new rider training at the SUNY Ulster location. No professional training is required.
On a monthly basis, our company does preventive maintenance on our motorcycle fleet by inspecting and completing paperwork for each motorcycle. Training is provided and examples of the motorcycle checks include checking levers, tire tread and condition, controls, clutch cables etc. Every fall, the fleet requires tire changes and oil changes, and additional minor repairs can be needed in the event of a motorcycle break-down. The majority of the fleet motorcycles are Honda or Yamaha models and are 250cc engine size or less. The goal is to have robust preventive maintenance in order to reduce the chance emergencies.
The work schedule is dependent on the mechanics preference.
