The artwork features a sculpture of Columbus holding a scrolled map before his first voyage in 1492. Below his figure is his life span from 1451-1506.
To the left of Columbus is.a sculpture of Columbus kneeling before Queen Isabella. Below are sculptures of the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria.
Near the handle is a sculpture of Columbus kneeling on the ground in San Salvador on October 12, 1492.
Near the bottom of the stein is a beige and red ring listing the different voyages of Columbus (1492, 1493, 1498, and 1502).
What’s most striking, though, are the detailed handle and the pewter lid.
The handle is actually a map of the New World while the lid has a sculpture of one of the ships along with a compass shaped lid opener. Very cool.
The stein is in mint shape and has some great detailed artwork.
