This is a 89 Piece Set of 1876 Cape Cod Ruby Red Dinnerware by Avon. The intricate lacy sandwich glass pattern is Roman Rosetta and designed for Avon by Wheaton Glass. The pressed glass set was made in the USA. The set features a heavy glass with a deeply embossed pattern and scalloped edging. The Avon set is without chips. There is no chips or damage.
The collection was released in 1976 to honor the spirit of the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and celebrate the sandwich glass origination.
