A project snare drum shell. No idea what year or model. It was painted on the exterior and paint stripper will not remove it. It may be epoxy paint. Paint it or wrap it. The interior has a clear coat finish. Edges are VG and it has snare beds. There are 3 large grommet vent holes in it.
It will fit Slingerland lugs. Its drilled for 12 lug hoop. There are two spots where they are holes for shorter lugs and they are located in the area where the snare throw was and on the other side where the snare butt was. As such I think it had a 12 hole hoop on the top and modified hoop on the bottom. Since it is drilled for 12 lugs, I would suggest the best solution would be to wrap it, put 6 lugs on it, with 6 lug hoops and relocate the snare butt and throw. It would make a great deep snare that way, a player drum, and cost much less for the lugs and hoops. If you wrap it you don't need to fill the holes.
