I am needing to rehome my 2 year old, male, australian shepherd due to behavioral issues. He is not neutered. He is a very anxious dog and doesn’t do well with new people (especially males), or other dogs, so he is muzzled most of the time but, I have never had an incident where he has bit, or attacked anyone, even while unmuzzled. My main reasoning for rehoming him is due to the fact that he cannot be around other dogs which is his main issue. He also does not like to be alone, he will destroy things such as blankets, rugs, clothes, etc if left alone for long periods of time. He would benefit from a home where he is the only dog, and where he would have space to run and get his energy out. He is house trained, very smart and aware, listens very well, and is a very loving, cuddly dog, he would just need time to adjust/warm up. I would consider him as a “project dog” aka a dog that would need a family who will take the time to work on these things with him and understand that it will not be a super easy thing to do.
