Bodhi Cafe & Bakery — Downtown Eugene
Bodhi is bringing its signature coffee, fresh bakery offerings, and chef-driven breakfast and lunch to downtown Eugene. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our team and take ownership of the café’s daily operations.
We’re an established Oregon business with proven menus, recipes, systems, and bakery support. You won’t be starting from scratch. You’ll be learning how Bodhi works, developing your team, and making sure we deliver that experience consistently.
The role
You’ll train directly alongside owner and chef Cody Utzman for approximately three months. The goal is clear: by the end of that training period, you’ll be ready to fully lead Eugene’s day-to-day operations, with ownership and company support available behind you.
This is an on-site, working leadership position—not a desk-only management role.
Your responsibilities
Lead daily service and maintain standards across the counter, coffee bar, and kitchen
Hire, train, schedule, coach, and hold team members accountable
Keep food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and order accuracy consistent
Manage ordering, inventory, waste, and labor within established expectations
Resolve guest concerns and operational issues with sound judgment
Follow through without needing the owner to direct every step
Who we’re looking for
An experienced café or restaurant leader who is dependable, organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable making decisions. You should be able to earn your team’s respect, give clear feedback, and step into service when needed.
Specialty coffee experience is valuable. Strong leadership and experience overseeing both front-of-house and kitchen operations are especially important.

Position: Full-time; on-site, with opening and weekend availability
