It is very sturdy and very heavy. Golf ball sized hail didn't put a dent in this tank. Top can be easily removed to allow access for cleaning. From my memory, most of the lumber is pressure treated. 4 posts, sides, bottom, anything near ground or exposed is treated. The roof is treated and sloped slightly to allow rain to fall off the back. The interior is divided in half. The left half is not insulated. The right half is insulated with 1 inch foam board. I had plans to insulate the top and finish the interior better, and paint it, blah blah. But the dog would not use it the summer I gave it to him so... it's never been used! You can work it however to fit your pal's needs. I built it 3 years ago.
