An amazing opportunity for a CNC Machinist to earn big!
Springfield offers big-city work at small-town cost. Chicago and St. Louis sit close enough for a weekend trip, but rent, groceries, and gas here cost a fraction of what they do there. Families choose this area to slow down without giving anything up.
What You'll Do
Set up and run CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, and Grinders to hold tight tolerances on parts headed to industries most machinists only read about. This is a true set-up role: aligning fixtures, selecting tooling, dialing in the job, and reading it through to a finished precision part, not just running someone else's program.
What Gets You In the Door
3+ years of CNC experience, with hands-on set-up (not only operating)
Comfortable reading blueprints, GD&T, and gauging sheets
Working knowledge of micrometers, calipers, and shop math
Able to read G-code and understand speeds and feeds
Able to lift 50 lbs and operate a hoist
Any control experience counts: FANUC, Siemens, Heidenhain, G&L, or DMG Mori 5-axis. Mill experience is the priority, but strong lathe set-up talent still gets a look.
Pay and Shifts
Exceptional comp package! Openings on first, second, and weekend crews, with the biggest current need on nights. Weekend crews run three 12-hour shifts with a differential built in.
