Established central Illinois machine shop is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for direct hire.
You would be setting up and running CNC mills and lathes on precision work, plus manual mills and lathes as the job calls for it. Larger components, so hoist work is part of the day. You read prints and gauging sheets, pick your own tooling and workholding, dial in offsets, and hold tolerance without someone standing over you. You know when a cut sounds wrong before the part is scrap.
What you get: full time, direct hire with the company, not a temp assignment. Established shop with steady work and equipment that is actually maintained. Pay based on what you can run.
If you are running production now and want to hear the details, reply with a resume or just a note about what machines you have run and what tolerances you hold. I will get back to you with the shop name and the numbers.
