This is a great children's Rocking Horse, from the late 1960s-early 70's, and has great play times yet to go. It's all authentic, and has been a great one-owner horse! It's time for him to go to new home --and a new buckaroo owner who can enjoy him for many more years! As seen in photos, great sand-color, hand-stitched with perfectly fitted ribbed corduroy, and complete with faux-red leather halter and reins, and decorative steel studs for accents. The horse also has sturdy oak wood support base, and no cracks or missing wood pieces. The steel stirrups are also in great shape, and all decorative items are as they were originally. It also retains the original translucent acrylic eyes, which (when you enlarge the photos) you'll see have great center black eyes within an orange-tone translucent bed. He's a personable rocking horse that is well made, and will give any young boy or girl many hours of fun! Also has original mane and tail fabrics, with great look overall. (The corduroy has normal use wear, and ribbon could be updated, but that I'll leave to new owners). These kinds of rocking horses, if/ when you can find them, are not usually in great shape, but this one has been lovingly cared for and stored over the years.
Color/ Specs: The horse's ribbed corduroy has long lasting durability and ease of care -- and oak wood platform structure still provides smooth rocking motion. The legs are also well-made with sturdy wood brace infrastructure and horse padding all in great shape. Again, all solid, no breaks (which typically happens unfortunately with many of these). All other assembly components fully in order. This horse will be sold AS IS, so see pics for details, color and overall appearance. No repairs, other painting, etc. have been done to the horse or platform -- he's for real!
Dimensions: First, overall: the overall wood rocking base is approx. 12"W x 42"L. The horse itself is 8"W (flanks) x 29"L (head to tail). The Saddle to floor measurements are 22.5", and head to floor is 29.5". No tears/ rips/ on fabric.
Condition: This rocking horse, will be sold as is and as described. Rocking Horse is great collectible, but also needs child's appreciation of its presence, and who can enjoy taking ownership of this horse, and sit on him for riding into sunset and friendship. Rocking horses of this vintage and condition are easily in the $125-150 range.
Price: As listed, and horse sold AS IS, and at a great price. Will go to first qualified offer. ONLY accepting cash and carry. If you're interested, don's snooze. But if this post is still here, it's still available! When responding, please be concise and clear, not coy -- with valid commitment or intent to purchase -- otherwise I won't waste time on responding. Thanks for looking!
