Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret work orders and production instructions
- Assemble products using hand tools, portable power tools, and other production equipment
- Use small tools, including grinders, to remove scratches, excess weld material, and burrs
- Coordinate the staging and sequencing of parts and production components
- Load and unload materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, hoists, cranes, and other material handling equipment
- Operate a forklift and/or scissor lift upon successful completion of company training and certification requirements
- Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and are free of defects
- Complete daily production records and required documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report defective materials, equipment issues, and unusual operating conditions to the Team Lead or Supervisor
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Participate in cross-training opportunities and support other departments when needed
- Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality to ensure production schedules and team objectives are met
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members to support a safe and productive work environment
Assembly Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or construction experience required
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand and power tools
- Forklift and/or scissor lift experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds required
- Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds
- Frequently participate in team lifts of 75 pounds or more
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and changing weather conditions
- Mandatory overtime may be required based on production needs
- Required PPE includes steel toe boots, long pants, hard hats, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, and hearing protection (ear plugs)
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to support production schedules and team success
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are expected
- Ability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12-hour shifts; If present for all 3 days of shift, receive 4 hours of additional pay to make a full 40
