This is one of less than 100 Lark models built with the Avanti R2 Jet-Thrust supercharged 289ci V8 and a 4-speed manual gearbox. Other factory options included disc brakes, bucket seats, and a twin-traction differential. Along the way a period correct tachometer and a Hurst 4-speed shifter for the Borg-Warner manual transmission were added.

The repaint looks great and showcases the beautiful straight body with its vibrant styling and trim. Prior to our purchase the seller stated “from Headlight to Taillight, everything was rebuilt or replaced with new or NOS parts.” While we don’t have receipts to prove that, it sure looks to be an accurate statement.

The interior appears as new. The bright red carpet is showing no signs of wear and neither do the Door Panels. The gauges and switches function properly and the heater works great. All windows travel up and down and are clear. The Vanity on the passenger side is in great shape and functional.

From the roof down to the Chrome bumpers, our Lark Daytona R2 shines and drives like new if not better. Restored with great attention to detail, you will find this Studebaker a pleasure to drive. The car has been stored in a climate controlled environment and maintained by a lifelong Studebaker enthusiast.
