Event Production & Installation Technician
Full-Time + Overtime | Chestnut Ridge, NY
Balloon Artistry is looking for a reliable, hardworking Event Production & Installation Technician to join our team full-time.
This is a hands-on position for someone who wants to work and wants the opportunity to earn more through overtime. Our schedule revolves around events, so weekend work, early mornings, evenings and late-night breakdowns are required.
What You'll Do
During the week, you'll work with our production team preparing custom décor for upcoming events, including:
• Building and assembling custom event décor, foam-core cubes, signage and display pieces
• Cutting materials by hand with X-Acto knives and other tools
• Painting and finishing décor
• Carefully packing glassware, décor, hardware and event materials
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• General production and warehouse work
Attention to detail is extremely important. Something missed during packing can create a major problem once our team arrives at an event.
On event days, you'll travel throughout the NY Tri-State area with our team to install and break down custom event décor.
Ceiling Installation & Rigging
A major priority for this position is training the right person in our ceiling installations and rigging. You must be comfortable working on ladders and at height, have a strong eye for detail and be a fast learner.

• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Has a valid driver's license
Experience We'd Love to See
Experience in event production, event décor, scenic fabrication, rigging or event installation is strongly preferred. Experience working for an event decorator or production company would be especially valuable.
Carpentry/fabrication, scenic work, painting, florals, vinyl application or graphics installation experience are all a plus.
Hours & Compensation
Minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed. Most weeks include weekend work, and during busy event periods, hours may increase to 50–60+ hours per week. Early mornings, evenings and late-night breakdowns are part of the job.
$25/hour starting pay + 1.5x overtime pay for over 40 hours.
