As a Seasonal Tax Preparer, you will work closely with clients to gather financial information, prepare accurate tax returns, and ensure compliance with current tax laws. Responsibilities
Collect and review client financial documents, including income statements, receipts, and relevant records
Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other tax preparation tools
Analyze financial data to identify deductions, credits, and potential savings opportunities for clients
Ensure all tax filings are accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines
Provide clear explanations of tax concepts and filing procedures to clients with varying levels of financial knowledge
Assist clients with questions related to bookkeeping, payroll, or other financial software tools
Maintain organized records of all client interactions and completed returns for future reference
Experience
-Previous experience in public accounting, tax preparation, or related financial services is highly preferred.
-Knowledgeable with DRAKE software.
-Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial concepts
-Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage is a plus
-Demonstrated analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
-Excellent math skills and 10 key typing proficiency for efficient data entry
-Customer service experience that highlights clear communication and problem-solving abilities
-Familiarity with bookkeeping practices, corporate accounting procedures, and technical accounting standards is advantageous
