Shift: 1st Shift | M-F 5:00AM-5:00PM
Schedule: 12hour shifts, weekends as needed
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Operator is responsible for coordinating and executing all outbound and inbound material movements. This role ensures accurate shipping documentation, proper handling of materials, safe equipment operation, and effective communication with carriers, purchasing, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
Verify outbound shipments by ensuring loaded materials match Bills of Lading and shipping documentation
Interact professionally with carrier drivers
Receive incoming materials, unload deliveries, and verify condition, quantity, and accuracy against inbound paperwork
Label and color code materials for accurate identification
Prepare, package, and stage materials for shipment
Inventory & Documentation
Compare incoming and outgoing shipments against Bills of Lading, invoices, work orders, and RMAs
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
Deliver verified vendor paperwork to the Purchasing department
Transfer materials to stock locations or deliver to requesters as appropriate
Check inventory levels as requested and report discrepancies
Equipment & Material Handling
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand dollies, and other material handling equipment
Load and unload trucks based on product type and carrier requirements (Flatbed, LTL, FedEx, Bulk Resin, Fiberglass, etc.)
Move materials between shipping/receiving areas, storage, and production areas
Support Functions
Work with Purchasing and Inventory Control to order production materials and supplies
Print and manage production labels
Assist the Production Foreman with scheduling and planning, as needed
Maintain adequate shipping supplies (cartons, pallets, banding materials, lumber, inks, etc.)
Required Qualifications
Ability to read and write in English or Spanish (bilingual preferred)
Ability to safely operate a forklift and material handling equipment
Ability to read and interpret a standard measuring tape
Understanding of quality, environmental, and workplace safety requirements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Education & Experience
No minimum education required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience 1-2 years
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequently lift and/or move materials up to 50 lbs
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment throughout the shift
Work Environment
Manufacturing/warehouse setting
Open air shop
Moderate noise levels
