This log splitter has a newer 2 stage pump, control with detent so you don't have to have your hand on the lever when retracting the ram and hoses. It has an 8 hp Industrial/ Commercial Briggs and Stratton engine with Oil Gard so it will shut off if it is low on oil. It has a 24" stroke with a plate that can be installed to shorten the stroke when working with shorter chunks of wood. Approximately 850 lbs. This is a solid log splitter that has split a lot of wood and can split a lot more.
