Approx. 5'4" (mahogany?) case. Serial dates it to about 1916-17.
Chickering was the first great American piano house ... founded 1823, and
the award medallions on the soundboard are stamped right into the wood.
WHAT'S GOOD
- Plays. All 88 keys, complete action, all three pedals working
- Soundboard and bridges intact
- No missing or chipped keytops (naturals were re-topped years ago .
plastic, not ivory, so no restrictions if you're shipping it)
- Original case, legs and lyre
WHAT'S NOT
- OUT OF TUNE. Needs a pitch raise and likely two tunings to hold
- Lid is cracked at the front-right corner a mattress got stacked on
it by a previous owner. Photo included. Cosmetic, gluable...or just put a table runner over it and call it a day.
- Finish shows 100 years of scratches and wear. Never refinished
- AS-IS. Bring your own tuner to look it over I welcome that

I moved this myself by taking off the legs and putting it across the top of a 4x6 tiny trailer. So it can be done but lifting it will take a few dudes. I can help and I got a couple sons that can help if you decide to move it yourself.
