This 981 generation roadster features a mid-mounted naturally aspirated horizontally opposed flat-six 2.7 liter engine producing 265 horsepower with direct fuel injection, and auto start-stop technology for fuel efficiency. The stop start feature can be turned off. This boxer engine is known for it’s distinctive and terrific Porsche sound. It is quick to rev and produces a rumble at idle and a high-pitched, glorious sound at higher rpms. The PDK transmision is automatic but has a MANUAL MODE you can shift with the gear lever or the paddle shifters.
Weight distribution is nearly perfect because the car is mid engine: 46% front / 54% rear.
The mid-engine design places the flat-six engine directly behind the seats and ahead of the rear axle, a balance layout that makes the car handle like nothing else. You hear the engine rev in your ear because it’s right behind your head. The center of gravity is exceptionally low, reducing body roll and improving cornering predictability.The slight rear bias provides superior rear traction under acceleration while maintaining neutral, highly agile cornering compared to front-engine or rear-engine cars. The car is light, weighing only 2,888 lbs.

The optional Sports Seats Plus have better bolsters and are more conmfortable than the standard seats. You hold the upgraded leather steering wheel in your hands the whole time you’re in the car. The full leather interior surrounds you in luxury. The interior has an adjustable leather steering wheel. The dash is completely covered in stitched leather, as well as the door cards and center column. Heated and Ventilated seats. Dual climate control. The air conditioning and heater work great, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, and power mirrors. Intermittent windshield wipers, cruise control.
MAJOR SERVICE MARCH 2024: Last major service included new front brakes (pads, rotors and sensors), flushed brake fluid and new brake fluid, replaced spark plugs, changed oil and filter, flushed coolant and new coolant.
TRANSMISSION SERVICE APRIL 2026: Full PDK and Differential service including fluids flushed, new filter and new fluids.
TIRES: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires $2,200. Rear tires are dated 2023, front tires are dated 2024.
TWO TRUNKS: Because the engine is in the middle, the Boxster has a front trunk and a rear trunk. Very practical it is for a two seat sports car. The front trunk is surprisingly large and can accommodate three carry on suitcases or a large Costco order. The rear trunk is wider and shallower than the front.
CLEAN CARFAX. No accidents, Car never repainted. Wheels are straight and true. Glass is good.
This car is very beautiful inside and out. A superb machine that drives even better than it looks. The car is super clean and looks terrific. Runs and drives great. It looks WAY more expensive than it is. It looks like the Porsches that cost over $100,000 but costs way less than half that.
Everything on the car works as it should and nothing is broken that I know of. The car has no faults that I know of. Comes with one key.
The bad: Floor mats show some wear. Wheels have a small spot or two of curb rash that has been sanded smooth and touched up. Body has a few tiny marks and scratches.
