To the woman who allowed her two dogs off leash, then let them attack me and mine, thanks for a horrible start to our regular day. We walk the trail daily to help socialize my dog. As a large, livestock guardian she is already suspicious of others and today was very traumatic for her. And you are wrong; it was not the little pup but the mature dog that initiated the attack. Really not cool.
If you are a dog owner, PLEASE leash your dog in public spaces. As a UPSer I cannot tell you how many times an owner has said "oh, they're nice" and then have the dog attack, it is not an unusual occurrence. There is no way you can predict your dog's behavior around others.
