The front-page report states that German radio announced Hitler had died at his command post in Berlin and that Admiral Karl Dönitz had been named his successor.
This is particularly desirable as a May 1, 1945 edition, carrying the breaking announcement of Hitler’s death as the Third Reich was collapsing and Allied forces were closing in on Germany.
