Department: Restaurant Operations
Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Manager / Kitchen Manager
Position Summary
The Team Member is an essential part of our Tex-Mex Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) team and is responsible for delivering excellent guest service while helping prepare and serve high-quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
Team Members may work in both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) areas based on business needs, experience, and training. This position requires a positive attitude, strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Our Team Members are responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience, preparing food according to company standards, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting smooth restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities Front of House Responsibilities
Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
Provide excellent customer service and create a positive guest experience.
Assist guests with menu questions and help them make informed selections.
Accurately enter and process dine-in, takeout, and online orders.
Operate the POS system and accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
Prepare and assemble menu items according to company recipes, portion standards, and presentation requirements.
Package to-go and delivery orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, counters, beverage stations, and other FOH areas.
Restock front-of-house supplies and products as needed.
Respond to guest questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
Maintain strong product knowledge and communicate menu options and promotions to guests.
Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and delivered to guests in a timely manner.
Back of House Responsibilities
Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, portion controls, and company quality standards.
Perform food preparation tasks including cutting, portioning, marinating, cooking, and assembling ingredients.
Safely operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, prep equipment, and other restaurant equipment.
Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food handling and storage procedures.
Receive, organize, label, rotate, and store food and supplies according to food safety standards.
Monitor food quality, freshness, portion sizes, and presentation.
Maintain adequate food preparation levels during regular and peak operating periods.
Assist with inventory counts and communicate low-stock or out-of-stock items to management.
Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Keep kitchen, prep areas, equipment, storage areas, and workstations clean and organized.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and health department requirements.
Work closely with FOH Team Members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
Team & Restaurant Operations
Work effectively with other Team Members and management to maintain smooth restaurant operations.
Be willing to cross-train and work in different areas of the restaurant.
Maintain a sense of urgency and attention to detail during busy periods.
Communicate clearly with team members and management.
Follow company policies, procedures, recipes, and operational standards.
Support opening, closing, and shift-change procedures as assigned.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant throughout the shift.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional behavior at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by restaurant management.
Qualifications
Previous restaurant, food service, kitchen, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, safety procedures, and portion standards.
Ability and willingness to work in both FOH and BOH areas after appropriate training.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as required.
Ability to work around heat, cold, steam, cooking equipment, and varying temperatures.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Food Safety & Cleanliness
All Team Members are expected to maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, and workplace cleanliness.
Team Members must:
Follow all applicable federal, state, and local food safety requirements.
Follow proper handwashing and personal hygiene procedures.
Prevent cross-contamination and maintain proper food handling practices.
Maintain proper food temperatures and storage procedures.
Keep workstations and restaurant areas clean throughout the shift.
Immediately report food safety, equipment, or workplace safety concerns to management.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
Stand and walk for extended periods.

Perform repetitive food preparation and service tasks.

This is a restaurant operations position requiring flexible availability based on business needs.
Team Members may be scheduled for:
Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts

Opening and closing shifts
Peak business periods
