Very comfortable vehicle gets 18.5 MPG loaded on road trips at 68mph and 16.5 in the mixed city driving. 87 regular gas.
Buy this if you want an ultra reliable 4x4. Full side curtain airbags to keep the family safe in back.
I cant really say enough good things about this Explorer. It is a total mule. It has seen a majority of backcountry rough roads, dual sport on the hitch, winter mountain passes, ski area deep powder days & gridlock traffic, desert valley sun, beach sand, 3 creeks lake days with 5 boats on the roof 7 passengers, 2000 mile road trips at 10,000' elevation on the continental divide, and 200 consecutive days of 400 mile mission critical medical vet transport. 13 hours to Mammoth or Banff non stop - CHECK. It has done it all without complaining, stopping, overheating, breaking down, not starting, or loosing traction. Not fear if you get it dirty or scratched. Laugh it off.

Radiator Flush and fill - 4k since
Check Engine Light is On since I purchased in 2019. Code is a lean/rich timing adjustment condition at startup. Never noticed this issue causing running problems.
No exhaust smoke or bad exhaust smell
Needs a windshield which I will cover the cost of at full asking price.
Has a new set of studs mounted on rims that will be included at full asking price.
