Bought and installed this fan last summer used it most of the summer. Then one day it quit! No lights, no fan.
I bought the same one again as we liked it. Got the new one home and was ready to do the install, and thought MAYBE it was just the control module.
I replaced ONLY the control module and the fan worked for a week. Then it stopped again. I ordered a new control module from the manufacturer. When I went to put in the new module, I decided I should probably just replace the whole fan, so I put up the whole new fan, but when removing this one, it appeared as though one of my connections came apart.
SO… I don’t know if this fan is good or bad??? It could be ALL GOOD, or the control unit could be bad. Also, worst case is that the control module is bad AND there’s a failure somewhere else that is causing the control module to fail. I don’t have the electrical know how to test all these things. I only know that it worked fine for a week after I replaced the control module. It could be the new control module failed, or my connection was bad?
Consequently, giving it away. Just hoping someone either has the know how to test it out, or willing to take a chance. I just hate throwing things in the landfill if they could have value. Garage fan, or maybe the lake home? Outdoor gazebo? It is an indoor/outdoor fan.
