This is a striking pair of “Nadia” exposed wood bergere lounge chairs custom made by Sam Moore, a division of high-end furniture maker Hooker Furniture. The chairs are still in production today and retail for over $1,000 per chair without customizations.
The chairs feature bold fuschia painted frames and black-and-white graphic print upholstery on the front and a neutral woven fabric on the back. Down plush seat cushion. Constructed from hand-sanded kiln-dried hardwood with double dowels and mitered joints, which provide strength and stability. Signed by maker below the seat cushions.
The 2020s chairs are in very good gently used condition. The upholstery fabric is very clean with no apparent stains or marks. The original factory painted frames are in great shape with some nicks and wear to the paint finish, especially on the backs and one front leg. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the chairs.
Each chair measures 26.5” wide, 31” deep, and 34.5” tall with a 20.5” seat height and 24.5” arm height.
Price is for the pair. Willing to sell one chair for half the list price.
