This is a project for musicians who believe music can be an act of witness.
The project is politically engaged, spiritually serious, nonsectarian, and focused on human dignity, justice, democracy, moral witness, and the sacredness of the human person.
Open to Western and non-Western instruments: especially interested in keyboard, hand drums and flautist but strings, winds, oud, saz, sitar, tabla, cello, violin, bass, guitar and other instruments welcome.
Reading ability helpful. Improvisation important, or willingness to learn.
Looking for sensitive, creative musicians interested in building something meaningful and original.
Rehearsal space and some equipment available. Goal is performance in galleries, poetry/dance venues, community spaces, and other intimate settings.
