This cake plate has beautiful decoration and is in perfect condition because it has never been used even though it was made in 1971. It was a wedding gift, but we bought a very small trailer with no room for wedding gifts. My mother stored them all for 20 years & when finally picked up it remained unused because I never made a layered cake--wasn't a baker. ;-)
