ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greet customers and takes drink and food orders.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes.
Mix ingredients for cocktails and serve wine and beer (bottled or draft).
Ring drink and food orders into register, collect payment, and make change.
Complete supply requisitions.
Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
Stock liquors, beer, wine, and other beverage supplies.
Ensure that beverage service stations are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests. Assesses guest demeanor and identifies when behavior should be called to the attention of Management.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
One (1) year previous experience as a Bartender and cash handling experience preferred.
Must meet State minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
Knowledgeable of state liquor laws.
Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
Must know bar terminology and its application to service.
Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints.
Basic knowledge of all bar equipment and its functions including Point of Sale System.
Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
