THREADED INSERTS they are STAINLESS STEEL , self TAPPING /threading into metal plate steel , Hardwoods cast Iron, marine Tuff plastics, etc. what makes these in there own realm is the aggressive cutting teeth on the business side German made , installation tool is merely a threaded bolt with a double nut. Made to be self threading into STEEL, CAST IRON PLASTICS OR FINISH GRADE HARDWOODS .will not oxidize, so makes perfect for Pressure treated or EXOTIC DECKING MATERIALS. another claim to fame and typical application ,is to save a motor or machine part that has been miss threade or stripped . these are NOT you typical cabinet threaded inserts .nGreat for setting threads in Shaper machines ,table saws , bandsaw , pump equipment platforms , engine building modifications ,industrial equipment accessoris bolt on applications ETC.
These are a step above but similar to the E-Z LOK threaded inserts sold on EBAY, which are $25 each.....
