You will not be on the forklift all day, but you MUST be an expert on a stand-up forklift. This is a requirement, not a nice-to-have.
THE ROLE:
- Order fulfillment (about 60%): pick, pack and prepare daily customer orders for shipment, accurately and on time
- Forklift and freight (about 40%): unload shipping containers, including long, heavy steel tube bundles; move, stage and store pallets and long material safely with a stand-up forklift
- Facility: keep the warehouse clean and organized to the floor plan
REQUIREMENTS:
- REQUIRED: expert stand-up forklift operator with proven experience, including container unloading
- Reliability: on time, every day
- Takes initiative, does not wait to be told what is next, keeps a clean work area
- Able to lift 50 lb
- Picking and packing / shipping experience preferred
PAY AND BENEFITS:
- $25/hr
- Up to 10% yearly performance bonus (attendance, reliability, work quality)
- Medical: company pays up to $200/month toward a Kaiser Permanente group plan
- 2 weeks paid vacation per year (3 weeks after 4 years)
- 5 paid sick days per year
- 9 paid holidays
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, no weekends
- Location: Georgetown, Seattle
