This vintage studio pottery jar features a hand-thrown cylindrical form with a domed, fitted lid. The surface is decorated with horizontal ribbing and a speckled, iron-rich glaze in earthy tones of tan and reddish-brown.
The interior and underside are finished in a dark brown glaze, adding depth and contrast. The lid fits snugly and showcases the same speckled glaze and concentric design. Unmarked, this piece reflects the rustic elegance of mid-20th century American or Japanese studio ceramics. Ideal for use as a storage vessel or decorative accent. In excellent vintage condition with no visible chips on cracks.
