I’m a 40-year-old drummer in Shoreline looking to start or join an original emo/pop-punk project. Think Hot Mulligan, Saturdays at Your Place, Microwave, Modern Baseball, Free Throw, and Ben Quad.
I know music theory and like contributing to songwriting, arrangements, melodies, and lyrics too. I’m not just looking to show up, play drums, and disappear.
Mostly putting this out there because I keep telling myself I want to make music again, and at some point that probably has to involve actually reaching out to other musicians. I have a family and a full-time job, so I’m looking for something creatively serious but realistic. Ideally, good people who want to write original music, practice regularly, and see where it goes.
