As a Sample Control Specialist, you will be part of the Sample Control team, which is responsible for shepherding client samples from arrival to disposal. Qualifications:
• BS/BA degree in science concentration required
• Very high level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for periods of up to 8 hours
• Ability to work occasional overtime with little notice
• Must be legally able to work in the US, local candidates are preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred
Duties for Sample Control Specialist include:
• Ensuring samples are received, prepared, preserved, and stored appropriately according to internal SOPs and approved EPA handling methods.
• Documenting and communicating receiving issues with Project Managers.
• Preparing and shipping bottle orders and sampling kits for clients.
• Cleaning sampling equipment.
• Calibration of equipment.
• Lab maintenance and cleaning.
The pay range for this position is $22.14 – $23.00 hourly. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
