Jeremy (33, he/him), and Billy (38, he/him), are seeking two roommates to move into our quirky but cozy home in the central district two blocks from Judkins park. Whoever that first roommate is gains immediate veto and voting rights over who the second may be.
The quick deets:
Move in: October 1st, but things can be moved in early, with potential early move in possible depending on when previous roommates move out.
Rent: ~900 a month + split utilities ( dependent upon the room, larger rooms are slightly higher, smaller slightly lower)
Amenities: large basement for outdoor gear storage, washer /dryer, fireplace, full kitchen with two refrigerators, living room, dining room. Technically it's a 5 bedroom house, but it's been nice to keep one bedroom roomateless and finished as a guest bedroom. Two shared bathrooms. The whole area is extremely walkable, and we are on great terms with all of our neighbors.
Old roommates were a couple who are currently moving out, so we have both of their rooms available, (pictured). They will be empty and cleaned before anyone moves in. The house has 2 full bathrooms, guest bedroom, covered carport behind locked fence for more storage/project space. One off street parking space, one alley parking space. Unfortunately no dogs or cats allowed.
About us: We both work for the same rope access company, mon-thurs, and keep busy with outdoor recreational activities including ultimate frisbee, skiing, and general mountain activities.
Billy owns a small boat, is always out and about if you ever want to join.
Also a fair amount of dancing and as many silly shenanigans as we can come up with or build in the backyard. At home we strike a good balance of hanging out together in the common spaces for board games, morning coffee, reading by the fire, etc, while also posting up in our rooms when feeling more introverted. Will occasionally host friends if they're traveling through, but generally speaking it's a pretty quiet home.
About you: mostly looking for good vibes in addition to gainfully employed. Looking for someone who's lived communally before, is respectful, reasonable, and communicative, (as we consider ourselves to be). Past that, you tell us!
If you're interested, please respond and tell us about yourself!
We'd like to know:
What you do for work and where?
What your work schedule is like?
What you do for fun?
How long you've lived in Seattle ( or where you're moving from)?
Anything else you'd like to share?
And to weed out spammers, we won't consider responses if you don't answer the following question: if you had to pick one topic or subject that you're most passionate about to have a two hour conversation on, what would it be?
Let us know, and we'll get in touch and arrange a time to come visit the house and meet us!
