My roommate accepted an internal team transfer to another city, so his room has been vacated. He found a subletter that will temporarily live there for the rest of the lease term, which ends on December 30, and he does not plan to stay for another term. This means this room is available by new year's. I just moved here in July and I do like the place, so I do plan on extending the lease, but of course only on the condition I am able to share this 2x2 unit so we can split the rent 50/50. This "luxury apartment community", named 8th & Republican, is located on 430 8th Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109, and it's within a 0.5 mile radius of all Amazon buildings in the SLU area. It is a prime location for commuting to work if you are employed here as well as for the Seattle offices of Meta, Google, and Apple. The lease term runs from Dec 31, 2026 - Dec 30, 2027, with of course the opportunity to renew like I am planning to now. The rent for this 2x2 is, in total, $3543 per month, but committing to the 50/50 split will only require rent from each tenant to be approximately $1772. Utilities are separate, which are also split 50/50, and can be around $150-$200.
Since this is a 2x2, you do have your own private bedroom and private bathroom. I am male, and I do highly prefer to share the unit with another male roommate. There is a security deposit fee you will have to pay when you sign the lease, which is $350 and will be given back to you whenever you vacate the apartment on good terms. While the room itself will be empty, the unit overall is furnished, all of which I am happy to share, meaning a kitchen (with utensils, tools, and machines), refrigerator, couch, laundry machines, TV/media cabinet, and dinner table is available. An additional perk is unlike my room, the room available has the bathroom directly attached to the bedroom. The unit is also a corner unit, so it actually has more square footage and space than what the normal units tend to have in this community. Amenities of the apartment community include a full-fledged gym, a community lounge, and a rooftop. Parking is available with a monthly fee should you need it. Please contact me if you are interested and would like to move forward with this lease.
