I am refining my minimal pedal board and have a few things that I'm willing to move.
Empress Distortion - $75
As this ad goes, you'll realize I'm an Empress fanboi. They make really great pedals in Canada and stand behind their products. This Distortion is no exception, I bought it new from Empress a year ago after a protracted search for their discontinued OD pedal. Never left my house and never registered it, so you still could. Of course, the OD pedal fell into my lap a minute later and I ended up with both. Distortion is way more versatile, but I don't really need that and want to keep the OD, flip the Distortion, partially out of stubbornness.
Some great YouTube videos and reviews on this. I am primarily a bassist, who occasionally plays guitar and I can vouch that it works great for both, which most of them don't. It's mint and it should be on your board!
Empress Compressor v1 - $150
The original Empress Compressor, generally considered one of the top 5 compressor pedals. It changed everything for me and I don't need to sell it, but I do side-chain it out to a separate high pass filter when I use it for bass and if I had the new bass specific model, I wouldn't have to do that, so if you but it from me, I'll replace it with the new Empress. If you don't, I'm good. the new one isn't better, but it would be more tidy the way I use it. This pedal is not instrument specific and works well with anything with an instrument cable: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard ... anything
Tech21 Q\Strip - $200
I'll be honest, that I don't really want to sell this, but people do seem to want to buy them. It's discontinued and i don't know why. First of all, it's a DI and a good one that I've used on a lot of stages. Second it's a very good 4-band eq. The two mid-bands are sweepable and it has fixed high and low pass filters. It also has +10db of clean boost, so you can use it for that too, which I did.
I've done silent stage gigs with this, just running straight to the board or a PA, it's a good piezo buffer if you play an acoustic instrument and need to plug into a non-acoustic specific amp. Beautiful swiss army knife of a tool. It also trained my ears on how to eq my instruments. Killer little box. Like I said, I don't really want to sell it, but if I did, Empress makes a more expensive one with a variable hpf and... you know, fanboi
Ask questions, check um out. I have long local, craigslist history, I'll deal straight, please do the same.
