About us
ECS has been converting envelopes in Seattle since 1985. We take flat printed stock from print shops around the country and cut, fold, and glue it into finished envelopes. We have served 745 printers in 308 cities across 40 states. The iron on our floor is old and well maintained, and the work is hands on.
What you will do
Set die cutters onto flat stock paper to the specs on the job ticket
Run press machines to produce cut paper product for the packaging line
Check your work for square, size, and clean edges before it moves on
Follow supervisor direction on safety and quality standards
Keep your station and the shop floor clean
Pitch in on other tasks as workflow requires
What we are looking for
No previous experience needed. We train you on the machines during your first week.
Able to stand for long stretches and lift up to 50 lbs
Working proficiency in English
Basic math: addition, subtraction, and fractions (you will read a tape measure)
Reliable transportation to the shop and reliable attendance
Willingness to learn and to ask questions before running a bad job
Schedule
Part-time, Monday through Friday. Shifts are scheduled inside our operating window of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We can build a set schedule around morning or afternoon availability. Full-time is available for the right person.
Pay and benefits
$23.00 per hour to start
Weekly paychecks
Pay review at 90 days, with increases based on performance
