Sitzendorf "Flight to Egypt" porcelain figurines are decorative, often 19th or mid-20th-century German pieces depicting Mary, Joseph, and the infant Jesus on a donkey, fleeing to Egypt. These intricate, hand-painted ceramic items, marked with the Sitzendorf crown, often highlight the Holy Family’s journey as a scene. Made in Sitzendorf Porcelain Manifactory in Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, in Thuringia, Germany.
This figural group measures 12"W x 9"H x 5"D. The cherub is missing a wing but other than that it is in great overall condition.
