Need currently running motorcycle or scooter work done without dealership labor rates? Or, the dealership refuses to work on your cycle or scooter because it's to old?
I provide motorcycle and scooter maintenance, not restoration projects, but diagnostics, and repair in North Seattle, primarily for Japanese motorcycles including Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha, as well as Chinese and Italian GY6 scooters, preferably 150cc. I work out of my small garage at my house and have been riding & working motorcycles for 40 years. I have a professional career; I just like working on cycles and scooters in my free time. After seeing so many people riding cycles and scooters with bald tires, worn out chains, backfiring, leaking fork seals, running on three or less cylinders, etc... I wanted to help fellow riders out.
Please note that we do not service older carbureted V-twin Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, or Kawasaki motorcycles. These motorcycles often have complex multi-carburetor and vacuum systems with difficult access, along with aging vacuum lines, electrical connectors, and brittle wiring that can make diagnosis and repair extremely time-consuming and unpredictable. We specialize in repairs where we can provide customers with a reasonable and predictable path to a successful repair.
I generally prefer customers to purchase their own parts and fluids. If you're unsure what you need, I can help identify the correct part numbers, specifications, fluids, and components and provide links to Amazon or other suppliers.
This keeps you involved in the cost of the repair and lets you choose between OEM and quality aftermarket components where appropriate.
RECENT WORK
2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R – Assisted customer with locating a complete Hindle exhaust system; installed full exhaust; removed ECU and arranged shipment for ECU flashing; reinstalled flashed ECU; installed Sprint performance air filter; installed stainless-steel front and rear brake lines. Now is a beast.
2015 Honda NC700X – Front-end diagnosis and repair work including fork seal replacement, stainless-steel brake line installation, and K&N air filter installation. Customer headed to northern CA.
GY6 Scooter – Installed new front and rear tires, front and rear brake pads, CVT belt, performance ignition coil, voltage regulator/rectifier, starter solenoid relay, aftermarket exhaust, and flasher relay. Customer delivers Uber Eats.
WHAT I DON'T DO
I currently do not perform motorcycle valve adjustments. (I do perform valve adjustments on GY6 engines.)
Rusted fuel tanks.
Non-running cycles or anything older than 1980 i.e.: your 1965 Honda has not been run since 1985, has been sitting in the garage or in the shed ever since, gas in the tank has turned to turpentine, parts are not available, and rats have eaten at the wiring. Absolutely not. I do not do restorations.
If you need routine maintenance, want after-market parts installed, recently purchased a used motorcycle and want it looked over, or have a difficult starting/running problem that needs diagnosis, feel free to contact me.
Reasonable rates. Honest service.
