Manley Reference mic Cardioid XX Anniversary Ltd Edition RARE - $2,150 (Seattle)
QR Code Link to This Post
Manley studio gear has established its place as top of the line professional, especially with vocal recordings.
Great for many types of voices, especially modern mixes where you want some air and also the ability to cut through mixes.
Equally useful as a room mic, with acoustic instruments and even some drum kit aspects.
The mic has a larger-than-life "finished pop vocal" sound,
Fixed cardioid pickup pattern and a K67-style capsule design. Bright, detailed, smooth top end, full low end, and punchy midrange.
Can help give vocals an authoritative presence that cuts through a mix.
This is a tube mic, large diaphragm condenser with original power supply and cables. The original road case is not included.
Only 50 of this edition were made.
$2,150
My understanding is that these were distributed as matched pairs and coupled with a XX Anniversary edition Manley Vox Box.
It is quite unusual to find a single mic available by itself.
